In this self-portrait series, the red yarn symbolizes the experience of a panic attack—tight, consuming, and chaotic. It wraps around my face like intrusive thoughts and physical tension, distorting my identity and restricting my breath. Only fragments of my eyes and mouth are visible, reflecting the struggle to remain present amid overwhelming sensations. In the images, I am shown pulling the yarn away, trying to break free from and detach myself from the grip of panic.
