This series explores my experience of diaspora through intimate domestic rituals tied to my cultural identity. I focused on moments of stillness and solitude, like drinking tea, reading Hafez, or being surrounded by familiar patterns, to express both comfort and distance. These objects once felt like home, but in displacement, they’ve become fragments of something that no longer feels the same. The work reflects my desperation to hold on to my cultural identity while also acknowledging the quiet loneliness that comes with realizing it’s changed.
