This series explores the interplay between life and death, not as opposing forces, but as two interwoven aspects of existence. Through surreal imagery, I use symbolic objects—a skeleton hand holding an apple, a delicate flower, and the flickering glow of a lamp—to evoke themes of mortality, renewal, and the fragile balance between the two. The apple, often associated with knowledge and temptation, becomes an object of paradox when grasped by death itself. The flower, a universal emblem of life and beauty, exists in contrast to decay, yet is destined to wither. The lamp, an illumination source, suggests the transient nature of presence and absence, existence and oblivion.
By blending the ethereal with the tangible, I invite viewers to confront death's inevitability while recognizing life's persistence. This series does not seek to resolve this duality but to embrace it—illustrating that life and death are not endpoints but echoes of one another.
